What is the trouble - associating a subfolder with your sub-domain? That's a question for your web host support. Normally you create the subdomain and it asks you to specify the folder so for example, a domain with a sub-folder "example" (yoursite.com/example) would be pointed to a subdomain of example.yoursite.com. (or rather the reverse, the subdomain points to the sub-folder).
