I've been having issues with the password reset not sending emails since I upgrade from J3 to J4 (which did not go great, but I got it to work after making some database changes). Anyway, it's the exact issue as this thread, so I'm adding to it here. I really need to fix this problem, I've let it go on for way too long.
Anyway, "toivo" in this suggested looking at the everything.php above when debugging SMTP. And, I think right near the top of that file, it's pretty clear:I'm not smart enough to know that this seems to indicate it's my web hosting company, but... I think it could be. I tried to ask them yesterday, but... they insisted this is my users email issues (like gmail, yahoo, etc)... I don't think I was able to escalate the issue to a... "experienced" enough helper on their side that might be able to help.
Am I on the right track? If so, any suggestions on how I get my host to... "bulk email" (I kid, I don't want to bulk email, I just want my joomla system to email users a way to reset their passwords). Thanks. And apologies if I did this wrong.
